Report a Claim

If an accident, unforeseen event or mishap sidelines your life or your business, we’re here to help make things right. Our emergency claim assistance line is available 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year to help get you back on track quickly. We’ll be with you from the moment we activate your claim, and throughout the claims process. Your dedicated Claim professional will provide a personal and responsive service to ensure you and your family − or your business − are cared for.

For Individuals

Accidents at home or on the road are stressful. Filing your claim shouldn't be. That's why our Claim professionals do everything they can to make the process smooth and stress-free.

To report a car or home insurance claim, please call 1.800.661.5522.

Please have the following information available when reporting a claim:

  • Your name, company name, phone number and e-mail address
  • Your policy number (if available)
  • The type of loss you are reporting (auto, property, etc.)
  • The date the incident occurred
  • The location the loss occurred
  • A description of the loss
  • For an auto claim:
    • The year, make, model and VIN of the vehicle
    • Other party's name, contact info, etc.

We understand that your needs filing a home warranty claim are different than home, auto, or business claims. Our Claim professionals have walked countless other homeowners through the process and have specialized warranty expertise.

To file a warranty claim for buyers/homeowners, please complete the Notice of Claim form and send it to us at warrantyclaimcanada@travelers.com
and your builder. *

* Please note, you must send the Notice of Claim form to Travelers Canada before the expiry of the warranty period (refer to your Home Warranty Certificate for details).

For Business

Your business provides income for both your family and your employees. Your top priority is getting your business back to normal and our priority is making the process as stress-free for you as possible.

To report a business insurance claim, please call 1.800.661.5522.

Please have the following information available when reporting a claim:

  • Your name, company name, phone number and e-mail address
  • Your policy number (if available)
  • The type of loss you are reporting (auto, property, etc.)
  • The date the incident occurred
  • The location the loss occurred
  • A description of the loss
  • For an auto claim:
    • The year, make, model and VIN of the vehicle
    • Other party's name, contact info, etc.

Cyber/Privacy Breach claims
For all Cyber claims, please email newclaims@travelers.com and call 1.800.661.5522. If this is an after-hours emergency, please call 844.371.0028.

Kidnap & Ransom claims
For all Kidnap & Ransom claims, please call SPS – Global Assistance Group Limited (SPS) at 713.918.6401 (North/South America) and +44 (0)20 3116 2222 (Europe/Asia/Africa/Australia). 

Quebec claims
If you are reporting a claim from the province of Quebec, please email the Montreal office at nouvellereclamation@travelers.com or call 1.800.361.9427 or 514.875.0600.

The business or organization you contracted with is in default of the contract. Now you need to file a claim against the surety bond. Throughout the entire process, we guide you through the steps with integrity and professionalism.

To make a claim, please submit a written notice of claim via email, fax or mail with the following information:

  • The claimant’s name (person or business) AND
  • A copy of the bond OR details of the bond including the bond type, bond number, and project description AND
  • A brief summary of the claim being made on the bond.
