Canada Post Service Disruption
On Saturday, Oct. 11, Canada Post workers moved to a rotating strike. As mail delivery resumes, Travelers will return to regular business operations. However, delays will continue due to the rotating strike and the backlog of mail that accumulated during the full strike.
Please keep the following items in mind during the current labour disruption:
- Payments can be made by credit card, through online banking or by mail.
- All policyholder documents will now be mailed for policies where that is the usual process. Due to the rotating strike and the volume of documents that were held during the full strike, it may take some time before documents return to being mailed on the day they are issued.
- Mailing of payment reminder notices, as well as notifications of non-payment, will resume as soon as feasible.
- Refund cheques will be sent by mail directly to the customer.
Your broker can still provide you with a copy of your policy documents electronically and an updated pink slip as needed.
If you have any questions regarding the information above, please contact your insurance broker.
We thank you for your continued patience while we transition back to regular business operations during the rotating strike.
