Travelers Canada takes into consideration the builder’s track record, technical expertise, financial capacity and after sales customer service. Only those builders who meet the stringent underwriting criteria are approved as member builders by Travelers Canada.

Registering a New Home for Home Warranty Coverage:
Once you have registered your company with Travelers Canada and obtained your license from the Homeowner Protection Office, you may register a new home for warranty coverage. Please forward the following items to Travelers Canada’s Housing Registration Department:
Schedule C-1 – Travelers Canada Registration Form – Detached Dwelling or Schedule C-2 – Travelers Canada Registration Form – Duplex or Triplex .
HPO New Home Registration Form -Please contact the Homeowner Protection Office directly for the issuance of the New Home Registration Forms at www.hpo.bc.ca or if you require additional registration forms (800) 407-7757 or locally at (604)646-7050, choose option 1 for assistance..
Warranty premium payment (Make cheque payable to Travelers Canada)
If you require assistance completing these forms, please contact a member of Travelers Canada’s Housing Registration Department (Click here to view our Staff Directory) or refer to the Travelers Canada Warranty Reference Manual.
Is the construction cost greater than $500,000? All homes that exceed construction costs of $500,000 are subject to an additional premium of $200 for each $100,000 in construction costs. Please refer to your Terms & Conditions (Schedule A) for your base premium rate.
For those homes that exceed construction costs of $750,000 Travelers Canada requires a copy of the building plans/elevations to be submitted with your housing registration applications.

Registering Multi-Family Projects for Home Warranty Coverage
Step 1:
All multi-family projects, consisting of 5 or more units, are subject to a project-specific review by Travelers Canada. Please forward the following items to Travelers Canada:
- Preliminary Project Information for Multi-Unit Buildings
- Geotechnical Report
- Site Plan/Elevations
- Proof of Errors & Omissions Insurance for all project professionals
- Disclosure Statement (draft is acceptable)
Upon review of the above information, Travelers Canada will establish premium and security requirements for the multi-family project.
Step 2:
To register the multi-family project for warranty coverage, please forward the following items to Travelers Canada’s Housing Registration Department:
- Schedule C-3 – Travelers Canada Registration Form – Multi-Unit Building (Replace with new form)
- HPO New Home Registration Form -Please contact the Homeowner Protection Office directly for the issuance of the New Home Registration Forms at www.hpo.bc.ca or if you require additional registration forms (800) 407-7757 or locally at (604)646-7050, choose option 1 for assistance..
- Warranty Premium Payment & HPO Fees (Make cheque payable to Travelers Canada)
